Rob Steenburgh has been a space scientist at NOAAs Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC) since 2014. He has also served as SWPCs acting Operations Chief for a cumulative four years, as a space weather forecaster, and as the Air Force Liaison to SWPC. His career includes a stint as the Console Operations Lead of NASAs Space Radiation Analysis Group at Johnson Space Center, and 23 years of military service as a meteorologist. Overall, he has 40 years of operational experience, spanning the emergency response, warfighting, human spaceflight, and space weather domains.
