Pat Lisowski is General Counsel for Lockheed Martin Commercial Civil Space, located at the Waterton Canyon campus in Littleton, Colorado. He supports some of the most interesting initiatives in the space industry, including the NASA Artemis and Orion lunar programs, Deep Space Exploration (OSIRIS-REx, Lucy), Weather and Environmental Science (GOES), and cislunar transportation, communication, and habitation. He works with industry teammates and suppliers on various Government, international, and commercial spacecraft programs. 

Previously he was a Lockheed Martin Program Attorney for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter in Fort Worth, Texas. The F-35 multi-purpose fighter aircraft for the US Air Force, Navy, Marines, and thirteen international countries is the largest federal procurement contract. Pat negotiated development, production, and sustainment issues with the Government program office and traveled to international partner countries to resolve contract, tax, data rights, and base sustainment matters.

Before joining Lockheed Martin Pat served 25 years in the US Army. After being commissioned as an Engineer officer and attending Airborne and Ranger schools, he led one of the Army’s largest demolition projects. He attended law school as part of the Army’s Funded Legal Education Program. After law school, he served in the Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps in Bad Kreuznach, Germany and traveled throughout Europe. 

Pat was both a prosecutor and defense counsel and successfully tried many jury cases. As a law professor at the Army JAG School in Charlottesville, Virginia, he taught trial tactics, search and seizure, and procurement fraud. He served in the Pentagon as a litigation attorney and represented DoD in bid protests, classified litigation, and Contract Dispute Act cases. As a Special Assistant US Attorney he argued cases in Federal District Courts, Appellate Courts, and the Court of Federal Claims.

He was Staff Judge Advocate for the 1st Cavalry Division, the Space and Missile Defense Center at Fort Bliss, and the 3rd Armored Corps at Fort Hood, Texas, DOD’s largest military installation. After retiring from the Army he lived in Ding Dong, Texas while his daughters attended the University of Texas and his son attended Texas A&M Law School. For 8 years he and his wife operated a free-range animal rescue sanctuary where they fed and cared for 159 rescued animals – dogs, cats, cows, pigs, peacocks, turkeys, chickens, and guinea hens.  

Pat received his Bachelor of Science degree from the US Military Academy at West Point, NY, majoring in civil engineering and Russian studies. His JD is from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in Philadelphia. He is also a licensed Professional Engineer and enjoys kayaking, hiking, and team sports where he lives in Boulder, Colorado.
