Edward Gonzales began his work in Pasadena, California at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in 2001 in the capacity of “Business Administrator” in the former Office of Education Office (now Office of STEM engagement) Edward also worked directly with NASA Headquarters in the Office of Education and Public Outreach for the Science Mission Directorate (with a focus on Planetary Science).

Edward Gonzales began his work in Pasadena, California at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in 2001 in the capacity of “Business Administrator” in the former Office of Education Office (now Office of STEM engagement) Edward also worked directly with NASA Headquarters in the Office of Education and Public Outreach for the Science Mission Directorate (with a focus on Planetary Science). 

He was a detailee at NASA Headquarters in 2008, working on Story Boarding, backend development and training the staff at each NASA center on metrics and evaluation.

In 2011, he began to co-manage various programs under NASA’s Minority Undergraduate Research Education Program (MUREP). Edward has been a keynote speaker at numerous Universities, Community Colleges, Trade Techs and High Schools across the nation as well as a panelist and moderator for various National STEM Conferences, Organizations and other STEM related events.

In 2014-2015, he was selected to complete a Fellowship at NASA HQ in the Office of STEM Engagement and recently he was promoted to Lead of STEM Engagement for Diversity and Minorities at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, is a team member of NASA Space Science Education Consortium as well as serving on a council for Diversity, Equity and inclusion (DEIA).

Edward now resides on the East Coast.  He mentors dozens of Students and is passionate about his work, and enjoys helping others.  He loves to spend time with his New Wife, enjoys reading, traveling and is a lifelong learner.
