Dr. Grzegorz Wrochna

Born in Poland. PhD in physics at University of Warsaw. 1986–1991 worked at the Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw. 1991– 1998 he worked at CERN Geneva on Large Hadron Collider experiments.
Since 1999 he worked at the Institute for Nuclear Studies, since 2006 as its director. In 2011 he initiated creation of the National Centre for Nuclear Research (NCBJ) and became its director.
He represented Poland in EURATOM Program Committee, in Board of Governors of EUJoint Research Centre and several committees of OECD Nuclear Energy Agency.
2019-2020 served as undersecretary of state in the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
In 2021 appointed as the president of Polish Space Agency.
