Angela Hart
Angela Hart serves as the Commercial Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Development Program Manager. Through this program, she is managing the implementation of NASA’s Commercial LEO strategy where the agency will become just one of many customers in a healthy orbital economy and will ensure that America maintains a presence in LEO.
She has over 23 years of experience at NASA and has been instrumental in advancing the agency’s shift to commercial models for spaceflight. After working extensively on the International Space Station and Orion programs, she transitioned to support the Commercial Crew Program before being chosen to lead the Commercial LEO Development Program. She has held a number of instrumental positions on the original Commercial Resupply Services (CRS) Contract as the CRS Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and SpaceX Visiting Vehicle Integration Manager, and later as the CCP Mission Integration and Operations Manager. Through these roles, she helped to lay the foundation and establish the first partnerships for NASA’s first nine SpaceX commercial resupply missions and the first four commercial crew missions including Boeing’s Orbital Flight Test and Dragon’s Demo-1, Demo-2, and NASA Crew 1 missions.
Mrs. Hart holds a bachelor’s degree in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University and is a U.S. Army veteran, having served seven years as a Hawk Missile Air Defense Artillery and Military Intelligence Officer.
