The global space industry grew ##% in 2017, reaching a total of $## billion. This continues a broad upward trend that spans more than a decade. Traditional sectors for space commerce have continued to grow and are being joined by innovative new space companies. Governments continue to recognize the value of space assets for a wide variety of economic activities, scientific research, and national security.
